Challenging Frequent MAGA Misinformation

FALSE. At the end of the Trump Administration, the United States had reached 12,850 (thousands per day) barrels of oil. In 2024, under the Biden Administration, a record 13,450 barrels of oil was produced in October. In 2025, production numbers under Trump have gone down slightly. In addition, Trump’s drilling rig count numbers have been decreasing as well.
Gas prices have gone down recently because of lower oil prices caused by an increase in production by OPEC in the months of May, June, and July. OPEC intends on increasing production even more in August.
Biden is Responsible for the Ukraine-Russia and Israel-Palestine Conflicts
The Russia-Ukraine war began in February 2014, when Russia annexed Crimea and deployed troops in eastern Donbas. During this time, Russia also established new military bases in western Russia.
Ukrainian and Russian troops engaged in intermittent combat in the Donbas region throughout this period. In 2021, Russia began amassing troops and equipment. In February 2022, Russia launched an attempt to invade the entire nation of Ukraine, which largely failed. Intelligence experts and European nations appear to agree this has been part of a long-term strategy by Putin to invade Eastern Europe and reassemble the old Soviet Union.
The conflict between Israel and the Palestinians has persisted for decades, and blaming any U.S. President or administration for this ongoing struggle is blatantly absurd.
Trump has Nothing to do with Project 2025
1. At an April 2022 dinner sponsored by the Heritage Foundation, Trump stated: “This is a great group, and they’re going to lay the groundwork and detail plans for exactly what our movement will do and what your movement will do when the American people give us a colossal mandate to save America.”

My Grocery Bill Has Doubled in the Last Four Years.
FALSE. Not for anyone. Inflation numbers for specifically food have increased 20.8% under the Biden Administration. Not a good number to celebrate. But not the 100% increase some want to claim.

Democrats Need to Work Harder Instead of Sitting at Home Collecting Welfare
60% of Democrats and 52% of Republicans say they have received food stamps at some point in their life. 70-75% of SNAP recipients work but are eligible because they are below the poverty line. This is a complicated issue that involves people who are retired or have disabilities. Some people temporarily use these programs as a social safety net after losing their job. Other times, people are working but are not earning enough money to afford basic necessities. There are absolutely instances of welfare fraud and abuse that occur. However, the narrative that large amounts of welfare recipients are able-bodied people refusing to work is unfounded.
